Thank you Robin!

I’ve spotlighted my girlfriend Robin Goldsby aka The Piano Girl in the Menopausebarbee Monday Spotlight three times (October 31, 2011, September 12, 2012 and May 19, 2014) for several reasons: she’s extremely talented, she’s raised admirable children, she is inspiring and is basically a good mensch.

This morning she posted on Facebook a video about the 100th birthday celebration of Irving Fields and it so inspired me that I had to share in case somebody out there is thinking about slowing down and settling in place. Reminded me of one of menopausebarbee Dad’s mantras when things got tough: “It ain’t no givin’ up and no givin’ out. You got to get up and get on it!” Our uncle, music maestro Quincy Jones’ take on it? “Retired?! Take the ‘re’ out and you’re just tired!”
