... the tales of two sisters

I Said YES!

I have partially recovered from the surprise of my life, trip of a lifetime and extreme jet lag to share great news.

On May 17, 2018, I along with 1250 passengers, 20 being great friends embarked on the Oceania Cruise Line for an eight day tour through the Mediterranean. Ports included Rome, The Amalfi Coast, Croatia, Slovenia, Montenegro and Venice.

On May 21, in Kotor, Montenegro, after a day of hiking halfway up a 1200 foot assent through steep rocky terrain, we reached a 15th century church, aptly entitled The Church of Health.

We returned to the ship, showered and prepared for phase two of our daily cruise regimen- cocktails, dinner, karaoke, dancing, and hitting the black jack tables.

Our hosts, and best of friends, Stacy and Greg Lill invited our close Seattle crew to visit Detlef and Mari Schremph’s presidential suite.
Standing on the wings of the Oceania, looking at the cliffs of the mountain we had just climbed, my under the radar boyfriend tapped his glass and announced he had a toast.

When I say under the radar, that’s an understatement. So one can only imagine my surprise when after a heartfelt original poem, he took the knee and asked to marry me.

Meet my fiancé -,- Eric Mendelsohn

Seattle transplant Eric Mendelsohn first came to Murfreesboro-based National Health Investors in early 2015, before stepping in as CEO of the real estate investment trust last fall. When he’s not working or traveling (the latter of which takes up quite a bit of his time), you’ll find Mendelsohn playing jazz guitar, skiing or, of late, exploring Center Hill Lake on his boat.

He’s also never been married, happens to be an amazing chef and oh and did I mention very smart- he went to Goldfarbs!
