I was sitting in St. Joseph’s church this morning watching the 8th grade classroom’s annual stellar performance of the Passion Play.

Cuddled in a tight pew holding hands with my son who just returned from a week in Cancun who in turn held hands with my daughter, we enjoyed the production. I smiled as I marveled at my kids. I was in bliss, and at peace. I thought about the Easter Baskets that I have filled for them (yes, they are way past the age for the Bunny) and I reflected on the candy fast that we all will all celebrate concluding as Lent ends on Sunday.
