Keeping up with the Joan (ses)

>I remember the first time I met Joan Kelly, she was working as the “shoe lady” at Marios Boutique. With a personality larger than life, God knew she was too much to embody one person, so he made her a twin. I reasoned there had to be a second person convincing me to purchase all the shoes I ambled out onto 5th Avenue carrying.

See, Joan has the confidence, character, capabilities, and candor to do the job of multiple people. Bottom line, she gets the task done and with a superb sense of humor, Joan has that canny ability to laugh at herself which makes her all the more engaging.

At first, I thought it was that she was a transplant New Yorker and they breed them differently out there… but I think all who know Joan and love her as we do know it’s just a Joan thing.

To see Joan’s work in action, join us September 11, 2014 at the Fashion First 10th annual benefit for an organization close to my heart, Inspire Youth Project and recognize the bravery of our Seattle Firefighters on a memorable day.
