Dana lives in Seattle, and Tracie lives in Germany. We are businesswomen, writers and humorists. We write about life, dating, and today's modern women.
Dana, my baby sister,
when I left Seattle some 30 plus years ago, you were just on the cusp of womanhood.
You have blossomed into a charming woman who is loved by many, but no one more than me.
Your joie de vivre is at times wondrous and always undeniably contagious. You make me laugh until I cry and only you could encourage me to slide down sky high water slides and ski down the slippery slope of a mountain and join you in propping on one of Aunt Beverly’s wigs and with a straight face step inside a crowded elevator–with the both of us looking like, as our cousin Lisa said, “Ike and Tina Turner!” And when we’re on a roll, you’re my most favorite partner in crime–even climbing street lights in Montreux, Switzerland at 3 in the morning. In any situation, we just need to look at each other and don’t need to say a word to know what to do. Not only do we have each other’s backs, we’ve been blessed to have had way too many joyous moments to count.
I have a bottle of your favorite perfume Boucheron here. I’ll wear it today, just so I can feel a little closer to you.
I am so blessed to have you as my sister and as my friend.
I love you dearly.
Happy Birthday Boo and Here’s to Life, my sister! Delaneys forever!
(Thank you Jerry and Lois Photography!)
