... the tales of two sisters

Dana lives in Seattle, and Tracie lives in Germany. We are businesswomen, writers and humorists. We write about life, dating, and today's modern women.

During our Darkest Moments…

While attending Our Lady of Mt. Virgin grade school, we used to have morning prayer where all of my classmates would share their wishes to relieve natural disasters, help the homeless, and for their family’s well-being. As a Menopausebarbee, I recall this turbulent time was during the Vietnam war, and our soldiers safety was always on the petition. My teacher, Sister Beverly would often say her prayer was personal, and would ask us to petition God for her private intentions. Whether public or personal, I have always believed in the power of prayer.

My sister’s post last Thursday, www.menopausebarbees.com A Letter

where Tracie asked for prayers for her journey back to Germany prompted a global outreach and response from 10s of thousands from Seattle to Germany and I am truly thankful to report that my nephew is now home and both mother and son are doing well. We sincerely appreciate your prayers, and please keep them coming during this time of recovery.

I shared with Tracie during this challenging time one of my favorite quotes, which I am passing along to all of you today who might be suffering. I have so many friends who are dealing with illness, loss, separation, financial struggle, and life’s daily challenges- please know you are in my prayers and remember to focus, pray and see the light!
