Dana lives in Seattle, and Tracie lives in Germany. We are businesswomen, writers and humorists. We write about life, dating, and today's modern women.
I was a kid with some family members at a Hollywood party when I watched Daddy walk into a sliding glass door when he saw her.
He banged the hell out of his head and though everybody looked his way he wasn’t even embarrassed. I loved that about him.
Anyhow, the story would be great if I could say, “Yeah! He walked into the glass door and was never the same again!” but I’d be lying because daddy was always special. Before and after that glass door.
Another story, another time. Today is the Monday Menopausebarbee Spotlght and the woman shining in the spotlight today is spectacular.
A supporter of gay rights, philanthropic organizations and charities too numerous to list here, her foundations include grants to “national organizations working on preservation of the environment, voter education, the protection of civil liberties and civil rights, women’s issues and nuclear disarmament, women’s cardiovascular issues”.
Her list of awards go on and on, amongst them the Oscar, Grammy, and Golden Globes. She alsoholds the record for the most top-ten albums of any female recording artist – a total of 32 since 1963. She has the widest span (48 years) between first and latest top-ten albums of any female recording artist.
Do yourself a favor. Pick up a coffee or your favorite drink, sit back and youtube her singing some of her greatest hits. Read about her accolades and accomplishments. To do all the things she’s done, you really have to be a funny girl.
On April 24, she greeted her 70th year.
Happy birthday Barabara Streisand!
