It’s Flashback Friday!
I have posted before that if you change the D to an L in daughter, you get laughter and that is what I am sharing today.
Last night, my twelve and 3/4 year old (can’t miss the 3/4 part) daughter and I snuggled up in bed and she insisted I turn off 20/20 to watch a dance show on some odd network entitled Bring It!
The pre-teens were in a dance competition, when one of the mom’s called a routine and the costumes reDAMNdiculous.
That inspired my post today, because over my childhood years, I participated in far too many competitions and costumes which are simply reDAMNdiculous.
As you look at this below photo of me circa the mid 1970’s, three questions come to mind:
1. What was the purpose of the bulb on my head?- reDAMNdiculous!
2. Didn’t my mother realize when she painstakingly curled my locks that there was only one Shirley Temple and she wasn’t black?- reDAMNdiculous!
3. Were the shorts and the boots I was wearing both really vinyl? reDAMNdiculous!
Happy Flashback Friday Everyone!
