I love art, however, I must confess, my most prize piece of work is framed and hangs on my office wall and it was the creation of my son, Brett when he was knee high to a grasshopper. Brett was in kindergarten when Ms. Cedergreen gave the assignment for the five and six year old students to create a masterpiece. Art is said to move you and inspire you, and on days like today when the temperature is frigid, the forecast is liquid for the foreseeable future, and my motivation level is mediocre at best, I look at my son’s first Picasso and say, out of the mouth of babes, get busy!
The message is simple, but so true…Brett crafted a fisherman working on a blazing hot afternoon, sending his catch ashore, with the words and spelling verbatim:
“working is very inportant because if we didnt do work we would have no money.” Thanks for the reminder, Brett! Mama needed this one today
