Oh, yes! Anyone reading this born circa or before 1971 when the album debuted can relate to the the songs of our youth, and the album Tapestry, that today, we are spotlighting the one and only Carole King!
Last Friday night, Tracie and I along with dear friends, Patti Savoy, and Susan Johnson relished every moment as we were mesmerized to be amongst the talented mega artist including Pink, Alicia Keys, Train, and Lady Gaga paying homage and singing tribute to the 72 year old icon at the MusiCares Person of the Year Gala.
MusiCares which supports and benefits artists who have fallen on hard times raised over 5.5 million dollars. The star studded evening was enhanced when James Taylor took the stage and did a duet with the honoree, Carole King. When David Crosby (of Crosby Stills Nash Young) walked past Tracie, it was a true Menopausebarbee moment flashback to her days of singing her heart our nonetheless into her hair brush aka microphone in her psychedelic neon painted room along to the chorus of Natural Woman.
Today, I will save your ears Tracie’s rendition, as we enjoy Carole King…
