Menopausebarbee Monday Spotlight on Maryam Mirzakhani

I think everybody loves a first and a best and a perfect.

She was born in 1977.

In 1994 and 1995, she won gold medals in two consecutive International Mathematical Olympiads. In the 1995 Olympiad, she became the first Iranian student to achieve a perfect score. Goodness! It doesn’t get any better than perfect.
She’s won numerous awards, is the recipient of two Harvard Fellowships and since 2008 has served as a professor of mathematics at Stanford University. And just last week, The International Mathematical Union declared her to be one of four winners of what is considered to be the highest honor in mathematics: the Fields Medal.
She is the first woman to receive this honor – ever. And on top of it, she’s a beauty!
Mother, wife, teacher, award winner, trail blazer; she is in a word, brilliant.

Maryam Mirzakhani, you are gleaming and glowing today in the Menopausebarbee Monday Spotlight. You go girl!!”>”>
