A Letter to my baby Sister on Her Birthday

My precious baby sister,

you say that every venture should be an adventure; that you are sourceful and resourceful. It should be and you are.

I’ve told you time and again, and I’ll say it again now, that you are loved and admired by many, but no one more than me.

Dani, honestly, when I think of you, I smile. And not simply because of a joke you’ve delivered with a perfect punch line, or the one way or another you have thousands of times literally made me laugh until I have cried; neither is it just about your selflessness, nor your generosity and how quickly you are at the ready to help anyone. How many times have I heard you tell our kids that Jesus loves a happy giver?

No, I smile because when you come to mind, it is simply your aura–your whole package–your essential you. It’s just in your D(a)NA. And as I always say, mere words cannot express how much I dearly love you and how I’m so looking forward to sharing more of this life we’ve been blessed with together.

Living life in the happiness key. That’s my Dani.

I love you Boo. Happy Birthday and God bless you. I’ll call you later. I know you’ll have something hilarious or scandalous to tell me. xoxoxo
